CompanAIn Terms and Conditions

Welcome to CompanAIn! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CompanAIn mobile and web applications and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by CompanAIn, Inc. (“CompanAIn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, registering for, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & Account Registration
1.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you reside in a jurisdiction with a higher age of majority, you must meet that age.
1.2 Account Creation. To access certain features you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it up-to-date.
1.3 Account Security. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2. Your Use of the Service
2.1 License. Subject to your compliance, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Service on your devices.
2.2 Prohibited Conduct. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service;
- Interfere with security features or attempt unauthorized access;
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of any law or regulation;
- Scrape, harvest, or mine data from the Service.
3. User Content & Data
3.1 Ownership. You retain ownership of all pet health data, images, and other content (“User Content”) you upload.
3.2 License to Us. By uploading User Content, you grant CompanAIn a worldwide, royalty-free, reversible license to process, analyze, display, and store that content to provide the Service.
3.3 Data Sharing. You may opt in to share anonymized data for research as described in our Privacy Policy; opting out will not affect your core Service.
4. AI-Powered Insights & Disclaimers
4.1 No Veterinary Advice. The Service provides AI-driven insights and recommendations. These are informational only and do not constitute veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical advice.
4.2 Accuracy. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee perfect results. You acknowledge the AI models are in development and may produce errors.
5. Fees & Payment
5.1 Pricing. Some features may require a subscription or one-time fee. All pricing is posted in the app and subject to change with notice.
5.2 Billing. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on the billing schedule you select.
5.3 Refunds. Unless required by law, all fees are non-refundable.
6. Termination
6.1 By You. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@companain.ai.
6.2 By Us. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or inactivity.
6.3 Effect of Termination. Upon termination, your license ends, and your access to User Content is revoked; we may retain anonymized data as permitted by our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Rights. All intellectual property in the Service (code, graphics, text, trademarks) is owned by CompanAIn or its licensors.
7.2 Feedback. Any suggestions or feedback you provide may be used by CompanAIn without obligation.
8. Disclaimers & Limitations
8.1 “AS-IS” Disclaimer. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
8.2 Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompanAIn’s liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
9.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
9.2 Venue. Any court action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
9.3 Arbitration. To the extent permitted by law, you and CompanAIn agree to submit any dispute to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s rules, with the arbitration seated in South Carolina. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a South Carolina court to protect intellectual property rights.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1 Changes to Terms. We may update these Terms; we’ll notify you and post an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
10.2 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any in-app terms (e.g. subscriptions), constitute the entire agreement between you and CompanAIn.
